Port Adelaide Chief Executive Mark Haysman says it’s terrific to have Bianco recommit at the club’s important second tier of sponsorship.
“We’d really like to thank Bianco for their continued substantial support through what has been a very difficult time in the building industry,” Haysman said.
“Bianco has been a passionate supporter of the Port Adelaide Football Club since our entry to the AFL in 1997, including a stint as Joint Major Sponsor.
“Developing successful long-term relationships like we have with Nick Bianco and his team is really rewarding for the club, and we look forward to working with Bianco for many years to come.”
Bianco says it is delighted to have recommitted to Port Adelaide, endorsing the direction of the club.
The Bianco sponsorship will focus on hospitality and signage, as well as continuing to use Port Adelaide players as ‘Ambassadors’ to engage with tradesmen through the highly-successful ‘Bianco Power Mobile BBQ’.
The mobile BBQ visits work sites monthly in conjunction with one of the 11 Bianco Construction Supplies sales vans in Adelaide, which act as mobile shops to deliver products, equipment and advice to builders and tradies on-site.
This gives Bianco the opportunity to thank its customers on-site and to promote their products and services.
The Bianco news has come hard on the heels of the success of the club’s Business Ambassadors Group initiative before Christmas, which saw $950,000 in new revenue committed to the club for 2011, with most of that ongoing again over three years.
The club will also make further sponsorship announcements in the coming weeks.
