Today, St Kilda Football Club has launched a new advertising campaign in an effort to obtain member commitment to Saints Footy in 2010.

Saints Footy is about ‘Actions. Not words.’ and the Club has set its targets on representing to our members what Saints Footy is all about.

Demonstrating the skill and toughness of our playing group, the Saints will display to fans across the country exactly what this exciting brand of football is, with a call to action for all supporters to join us at this thrilling time for the Club.

In a multi-medium approach, the campaign will be launched via TV, radio, print and online. With an extension of the Saints website, saints.com.au, the Club will engage directly with fans via a brand new dedicated membership micro-site. This site will assist eager fans to discover the many membership options there are available for Saints supporters from all corners of the globe, with ease and immediacy.

In the past 12 months, we have worked hard to secure our talent at the Club. Senior Coach Ross Lyon penned a new three year contract while we also made long term Saints out of Captain Nick Riewoldt, Sam Gilbert, Sam Fisher, Brendon Goddard and Leigh Montagna.

We now need ‘Actions. Not Words.’ from our loyal fans and supporters too, we need to see your commitment to Saints Footy. Ross and the playing group have provided their commitment to all fans that they will give everything they have to play every game with 100% effort, and return to the rooms with nothing left.

Saints Footy in 2010 is about reaching our goals, and breaking our previous records both on and off the field. With our current membership numbers at 32,740 we need you to help us break the Club Membership Record of 33,522, and take the Saints to the next level before the first ball is bounced in the 2010 Toyota AFL Premiership Season.

To show our loyalty to our fans, membership options for this season have been made more affordable for families and more accessible for local and interstate based supporters. Adult members can get to all home games this season for less than $17 or just $2.50 for kids.

St Kilda Football Club CEO, Michael Nettlefold, wants to make sure all fans can share in their own portion of Saints Footy.

“This is an extremely exciting time for the St Kilda Football Club, our players, staff, sponsors and our membership family. Saints Footy is a way of thinking that drives every area of our Football Club.”

“We need to ensure that all St Kilda fans and supporters are involved with Saints Footy in 2010, and therefore we have created a range of affordable membership options that are better then ever. Options that demonstrate the importance we place on having long-tem members at our Club.

With the determination of our players and the support of our members, we will show to Australia that this is Saints Footy, and it’s here to stay!”
