THE Power will support Surf Life Saving SA as its match day community partner at Saturday afternoon’s clash against the Brisbane Lions at AAMI Stadium.
More than 800 representatives from 16 South Australian Surf Life Saving clubs will be present at the game, with donations to be taken at the gate and a display in the Planet Teal Zone before the game.
Surf Life Saving Australia’s mission is to save lives on beaches through education, prevention and rescue services.
Power Chief Executive Mark Haysman says the match provides an opportunity for South Australians to say “thank you” for their work over the summer.
“All of us who take our kids to the beach over summer are grateful for the great work of everyone involved with the surf lifesaving community,” Haysman said. “This is one small way we can give something back and acknowledge them.”
Surf Life Saving South Australia currently has 18 clubs from Whyalla to Port Elliot, with more than 5,500 members aged from seven years to over 70.
