Ahead of the AFL's official list lodgement on Friday 29 October, the Brisbane Lions AFC wishes to announce a number of changes to its playing list for 2011.

The Brisbane Lions can advise that along with Troy Selwood, senior list players Travis Johnstone, Albert Proud, and Bart McCulloch have been delisted.

Rookies Sean Yoshiura and Broc McCauley have also been advised that they will not be on the rookie list, although McCauley has been invited to continue training.

The Lions would like to sincerely thank our departing players for their hard work and service to the Club, particularly the senior players who have given a great deal to the Lions over their years here, and we wish them all the best for their futures.

The Club would like to welcome Rohan Bewick as an addition to its senior list, as well as current Lion Claye Beams, who has been elevated from the rookie list to the primary list.

Bewick came to the Lions from West Perth through a deal which saw Jared Brennan move to the Gold Coast Suns and join fellow ex-Lion Michael Rischitelli.

Trade week also saw Justin Sherman find a new home at the Western Bulldogs.

Brisbane Lions National Talent Manager Rob Kerr believes that the list changes present new opportunities for the Club.

"Today's announcement allows the Club to go to the 2011 NAB AFL Draft with picks 5, 25, 27 and 31, and the option of using two compensation picks for the end of round one," Kerr said.

"The nature of footy is that there will always be players coming and going at the end of the season - we are looking to 2011 with a new vision for the team, and we believe that the changes made will facilitate this."

The 2011 NAB AFL Draft will be held on Thursday 18 November on the Gold Coast.
