Members are advised that Melbourne Cup Carnival Preview Day at Flemington has been rescheduled to Sunday 3 October due to the AFL Grand Final replay.
Melbourne Cup Carnival Preview Day signals the start of the much-anticipated spring racing season and will see the stars of the turf return to Flemington to battle it out in the prestigious Group 1 $500,000 Turnbull Stakes.
In a full dress rehearsal for the Melbourne Cup Carnival, the famous Flemington lawns will be the perfect setting for relaxing with family and friends, with live entertainment, a host of kids’ activities, and an packed day of racing action.
Racegoers will also have the chance to experience the newly-opened Flemington Visitor Centre, Heritage Trail, and Walk of Fame - an historical tribute to past Melbourne Cup winners.
Gates open at 10am with the first race scheduled for 12pm. Adult tickets $30, students $20, pensioners $15 with kids under 15 receiving free entry.
Trains will run direct to Flemington, and ample car parking will be available on-site.
