FROM Michael Barlow's broken leg to the 'perfect disaster' of the trip to China, Gold Coast fans have few happy memories of season 2017.
Injury-ravaged former captain Gary Ablett was rated the Suns' biggest flop by fans giving their season verdict in an AFL.com.au survey.
Recruits Jarrod Witts (from Collingwood) and Jarryd Lyons (Adelaide) were judged Gold Coast's standouts in a year that brought just six wins.
The side's miserable 17th-placed finish saw the Suns cut ties with coach Rodney Eade.
Below are the full results of the survey, as well as a selection of fans' views on the season's highlights and lowlights.
What was the moment you'll remember?
Watching Adam Saad taking on all before him.
- Graham Baker, Broadbeach Qld
Beating Hawthorn by 86 points in round three. Best and biggest win in the club's history.
- Brandon Mavinil, Melbourne Vic
Winning against Geelong; grinding out the fourth quarter when Geelong was coming.
- Nathan Mollenhof, Port Augusta SA
What was the moment you'd rather forget?
Michael Barlow breaking his leg. It was the season-defining moment. We lost the hard-ball get and the guy who doesn't stop.
- Jason Wilson, Gold Coast Qld
The round one loss against Brisbane. Not the way to start the season.
- Taryn Johnson, Perth WA
China. A perfect disaster. It was the kind of mess that overshadowed even the few glimmers of hope.
- Dale Cooper, Broken Hill
Suns fans' season rating
2.4/10
