CARLTON vs COLLINGWOOD
Saturday July 16th, 2011
MCG at 2:10pm
In round 17 the Blues play in the traditional Saturday afternoon time-slot for the traditional clash in what is one of the greatest sporting rivalries in Australian sport - Carlton v Collingwood.
Importantly the game is being played for the Richard Pratt Cup to raise awareness of the incidences of prostate cancer in Australian men. The match is played in memory of former Carlton President, Richard Pratt, who passed away following a long battle with prostate cancer in 2009.
15,000 blue ponchos will be handed out to supporters at the MCG on Saturday, signifying the impact of the disease.
