Hood has most recently been employed as Acting Director of the Research Implementation Program at the National Health & Medical Research Council.
“Sonja’s extensive knowledge and background in program delivery will be an asset to the club as well as her experiences from working in the United Kingdom and USA,” North chief executive Eugene Arocca said
“Aside from her passion for North Melbourne, Sonja has an intimate knowledge of the club’s supporter base, local community and an ability to engage with key stakeholders.
“Sonja will also be a part of the club’s executive and will be an exciting addition to our team.”
Hood will begin her role at North Melbourne on September 1, 2010.
