Digital Media Manager

The Brisbane Lions A.F.C, arguably the AFL's most successful team and brand over the last decade, is seeking to appoint a talented and dedicated Digital Media Manager to become a valued member of the Media and Communications team. The Brisbane Lions A.F.C has diverse service offerings, an ever increasing profile and strong brand.

Reporting to the General Manager - Communications, the Digital Media Manager will be responsible for the development and management of the Brisbane Lions’ digital and multimedia strategy, production and delivery across all platforms, including social media and content production. The ultimate charter of the role will be to engage and grow our online community through all digital channels at our disposal, as well as acting as the pivot between commercial, editorial, technology, analytics and users.

This new role is integral to the growth and development of the Brisbane Lions Media and Communications team. The Digital Media Manager will be required to develop the Club’s full digital product offering in collaboration with the AFL Media digital team to grow the Club’s brand, online community and fan base. Through direct line management responsibility of two staff, the role includes operational management of website administration, including full user experience and social networking platforms, and production management of all online and multimedia content.

This diverse and exciting role requires a strong leader, who is highly organised and is an excellent communicator who has the ability to build and maintain strong relationships. You must be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the digital and social media space and best practices, including UX, user behaviour, web and mobile functionality. You should have a proven track record in creating and driving a vision or strategy to achieve successful outcomes, and be able to quickly identify and embrace new trends, with the ability to create engaging concepts. You must be tertiary qualified, preferably in digital practices, whilst an interest in AFL would be highly advantageous. You should be able to work well under pressure and manage multiple activities simultaneously.

A competitive salary is on offer for the successful candidate. General business hours will be from 8:30am - 5:00pm Mon -Fri, however match day participation will be required.
