THE WESTERN Bulldogs have made a late change ahead of Sunday's crucial clash with Essendon, with runner Mitch Honeychurch being withdrawn from the side.
The 22-year-old, who has played the last six matches for the Dogs after being largely out of favour for the past two seasons, will miss due to illness.
Honeychurch has been replaced by left-footed defender Lukas Webb for the Etihad Stadium contest, while veteran Matthew Boyd has been added to the Dogs' emergencies.
Collingwood has also made a change for its game against ladder leader Adelaide at the MCG on Sunday, with midfielder Rupert Wills pulling out after experiencing quad tightness.
Wills played his first AFL game for the season just last week when the Magpies defeated West Coast.
The change means Pies little man Jarryd Blair, who'd originally been omitted, has retained his spot in the line-up.
Callum Brown will join fellow father-son draftee Josh Daicos and Mason Cox among the Magpies' emergencies.
