BRISBANE midfielder Dayne Beams has rejected speculation around his playing future, confirming his intention to play out his contract with the Lions.
Reports have circled about Beams wanting a move to a Victorian club, but the former skipper shut them down.
"After having our exit meetings earlier this week, I thought it was a good time to let everybody know I won’t be going anywhere," Beams said.
"I love the coach, the playing group, and am excited about where this footy club is headed.
"I have never asked for a trade away from the Lions and would like to put an end to any speculation over my playing future.
"I will be seeing out my contract here."
Beams is contracted to Brisbane until the end of 2020.
The 28-year-old has had another brilliant season, being named in the 40-man Virgin Australia AFL All Australian squad this week and finished fifth in the AFL Coaches' Association Player of the Year award.
