ADELAIDE has re-signed defender Kyle Hartigan for two years, tying him to West Lakes until the end of the 2017 season.

The 23-year-old has played 15 games this year, taking his career total to 25.

Hartigan was drafted as a rookie by the Crows in 2012, but after making his debut in 2013 he was promoted to the senior list last year.

In one of the best games of his career, Hartigan kept West Coast forward Jack Darling goalless last weekend for just the second time this year.

Hartigan said re-committing to the Crows was a no-brainer.

"I am really enjoying playing with a developing young backline and with some hard work I think team success is just around the corner," he said.

Head of football David Noble said Hartigan's work ethic was paying dividends on the field.

"Kyle is a great competitor and someone who always puts the team’s needs first," Noble said.

"He has a fantastic work ethic and, after an injury interrupted 2014, is now holding down a key post in a young Crows defence."
