The All Australian midfielder suffered the injury at training and will face a fitness test ahead of next week’s top of the ladder contest with Collingwood.
“The strain isn’t serious but as we have done all season we will take a conservative approach when it comes to players carrying injury issues,” Geelong’s general manager of football Neil Balme said.
“Joel came off the track at training and we will look at him next week to whether he is 100% to face Collingwood.”
Corey has played 19 of the Cats 20 games this season and leads the team with 475 possessions and 239 handballs.
