POSSIBLE No. 1 NAB AFL Draft pick Lachie Whitfield put on a football clinic to lead Vic Country to a 94-point thrashing of Queensland at Visy Park on Sunday.
Whitfield collected 27 disposals, took 10 marks and kicked three goals in a best on ground display for Country as it won 15.15 (105) to 1.5 (11) in their NAB AFL Under-18 Championships clash.
His aerobic capacity, one of the best ever tested at the draft combine, was on full show as he covered the ground with ease and ran his opponents into the ground.

Teammate Oliver Wines demonstrated his wide array of talent with 31 possessions, five clearances and seven inside 50s.
Wines distributed the ball effectively all day and his cleanness in first gathering and then retaining the football stood out all game.
Talented 17-year-old Victorians Lewis Taylor (26 touches) and James Tsitas (24) were also prominent in the victory.
Queensland struggled to work the ball past its own forward 50 and Country had almost 100 more disposals than its opponents.
Isaac Conway (14 disposals and six tackles) and Jermaine Wardle (13 and six tackles) both worked hard for Queensland.
But Country thoroughly outclassed the Scorpions and had too much firepower for its opponents.
