The St Kilda Football Club acknowledges with great sadness the passing of its oldest living player, Len Boyd-Gerny.

Len passed away on October 30, 2011 aged 95 at Avonlea Hostel, Mentone, Victoria.

He played 2 games for the Saints in 1938 whilst wearing the number 16 jumper. Though Len had a strong performance in those games, he decided to return to his old team, Melbourne High School Old Boys, after dipping his toes into the big league.

Despite his departure from the Saints, he was a much loved character, with the Club gifting Len and his wife Glenda with a cutlery set on their wedding day.

Devoted husband of Glenda (dec) for 48 years and loving father of Pam, Greg, Geoff (dec), Ken and Salina.

Len will be remembered as the third longest living Saint behind Archie Richardson and Eric Ward respectively.
