GREATER Western Sydney has signed Docker Tommy Sheridan as a delisted free agent.
AFL.com.au revealed this week that the running defender had met with the Giants recently and had a medical with the club.
He will follow the likes of Matt de Boer and Tendai Mzungu as former Dockers who have crossed to GWS in recent years.
Former NAB AFL Rising Star winner Rhys Palmer also spent five years at the Giants having started his career at the Dockers.
Sheridan was delisted by the Dockers earlier this month after played 13 games and booting nine goals for the club this season.
He played 81 games for Fremantle after making his debut in 2012, having been drafted by the club out of Victoria with pick 16 at the 2011 NAB AFL Draft.
The 24-year-old can bring experience to a list that lost plenty of mature bodies during the recent trade period, including trading star midfielders Dylan Shiel (to Essendon) and Tom Scully (to Hawthorn).
