MELBOURNE expects star defender Neville Jetta will be fit to take his place against St Kilda at the MCG on Sunday after recovering from a significant head knock and rolled ankle suffered against Port Adelaide.
The Demons are also hopeful Tom McDonald will be available after he was sent for precautionary scans following a hefty bump from Port defender Tom Jonas in Friday night's loss at Adelaide Oval.
Melbourne will have more information on McDonald's condition on Tuesday after he was forced to leave the field coughing up blood.
Jetta clashed heads with Port's Sam Gray in the final quarter of the clash and was left noticeably groggy as he left the field of play.
The defender returned to the ground not long after and played out the game, with Melbourne confident he will be cleared to face the Saints.
Neville Jetta headed to the rooms after a head clash in the final quarter.
