We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Head of Corporate Hospitality to ‘Don the Sash’ and join our Commercial Operations Team based at our club headquarters in Melbourne Airport.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the General Manager Commercial Operations, the Head of Corporate Hospitality will manage all aspects of the Club’s Corporate Hospitality portfolio and ensure the Club achieves budgeted revenue targets. You will play a lead role in the development of new business and new concepts. In the role you will be responsible for:
- Providing leadership and expert guidance to a team of sales professionals
- Developing key account management strategies to aid client retention
- Achieving annual sales and revenue targets and net contribution KPIs
- Develop and implementing the Corporate Hospitality strategy
- Developing new business strategies to acquire new clients across all industry segments
What we’re looking For
To be considered for the role, candidates must have the following essential skills and experience:
- Corporate Hospitality sales experience, preferably from within a professional sporting industry
- Proven team leader with demonstrated success in building, developing and managing high performance teams
- Proven ability across all facets of the sales process, including sourcing leads and building processes
- Ability to develop integral relationships with all clients and stakeholders
- Be target driven with a competitive sales nature
- Excellent customer service skills; always willing to go above and beyond for your clients
- Ability to manage multiple projects with high attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Capable of working a wide array of hours with a varying time schedule to suit the seasonal priorities of the football industry
- Permanent Residency in Australia, or appropriate visa to work permanently
Other attributes which we would value but are not essential include:
- Entertainment or sporting brand industry experience
