COLLINGWOOD ruckman Darren Jolly says fellow Pies recruit Luke Ball is ready to go, despite not training on Monday morning.
Ball was forced from the ground and into the rooms in the third quarter of Friday night's 41-point smashing of Geelong in the preliminary final with what appeared to be a hamstring injury, but the club later said was simply cramp.
The Magpies take on St Kilda - the club Ball left to move to the Magpies after the Saints' grand final loss last season - in the decider on Saturday afternoon.
But Jolly, also a new addition to the club this season after being traded from the Sydney Swans, said he expected the 26-year-old to be fit for the match, admitting he didn't see the midfielder leave the ground during the match.
"Yeah, he'll be fine - he'll be ready to go Wednesday at training," Jolly told a media conference at the Westpac Centre on Monday afternoon.
"I didn't really know, to be honest, until they said he had pretty bad cramps.
"I spoke to him after the game. He was confident, he was fine, and on Sunday at recovery he was up and about.
"So he'll be ready to go by Wednesday - he just had a light session today, inside, and did some running and he was fine.
"Back to normal for him."
