Grant Birchall – 7
One of the Hawks' leading ball winners with 25 disposals. After starting slowly last week, didn't waste any time getting involved with 13 disposals in the first quarter. Trailed off a little in the second but was still important throughout the game as the Hawks cut up the Crows on the outside.
Luke Breust – 8
Six goals from 12 kicks, with eight tackles and five inside 50s thrown in as well. Having not kicked a major since round 20, got himself in the scoring mood early with four goals in the first half. After a disappointing performance last week, set the tone in the opening minute with his first mark inside 50.
Shaun Burgoyne – 7
Another Hawk down on his influential best last week who made a statement with eight touches in the first quarter, 14 to half-time and 24 for the game. Played on a variety of opponents and helped to nullify the influence of Charlie Cameron. Came off late and finished the game on the bench, likely with an eye to next week.

Taylor Duryea – 6
Made the most of the opportunity to start on the ground after being given the green vest last week, with some good pressure and intimidation early. Had a solid game against Cameron, who was ineffective for the most part, and played his role well for 22 disposals.
James Frawley – 8
One of their best. Returned to a full-time backline role after unsuccessfully venturing up forward last week. Lined up on Taylor Walker and was excellent against the Crows' skipper after he led his team to victory a week ago. Kept Tex to one goal, which took the wind out of the Crows' sails, and landed six marks of his own.
Josh Gibson – 7
Had plenty of the ball with 27 disposals against Tom Lynch, who looked like being the Crows' most promising forward with two goals in the second quarter. Was effective in driving the ball out of defence when the Crows were sloppy in bombing it in. A good game.
David Hale – 3
Subbed out for the second week running after a relatively ineffective game. Had two touches against Kyle Hartigan when forward in the first half and wasn't prolific when in the ruck. Took a good mark in the third quarter but that was about it.
Billy Hartung – 4
Was reunited with his familiar green vest after being called up to replace the omitted Will Langford, after wearing it seven times this year. Came on in the third quarter for his first run in a final and didn't waste it, with a burst of speed that ended in an inside 50 among his moments. Eight disposals in 30 minutes was a neat audition for a preliminary final berth.
Bradley Hill – 6
Teamed up with Smith to really hurt the Crows with outside run and creativity, with 17 handball receives for his 19 disposals. The Crows gave him too space and he found himself on the end of a goal in the third quarter, which was nice reward for a solid game.
Luke Hodge – 9
The Hawks' best player with four goals and 24 disposals. Carried on his influential form from the second half of last week to boot three before half-time and crack in with seven contested possessions from his 15 first-half disposals. Was loosely opposed to Rory Sloane and, at times, Patrick Dangerfield, but had more influence for longer than both, with his first goal coming just two minutes into the game.

Brian Lake – 6
All eyes will be on the full back this week after he appeared to tweak his abdomen in the second quarter. Stayed in defence this week and mainly played on Josh Jenkins, who kicked four goals but did most of his work when the heat of the game was gone. Looked to have started angry in what could prove one of his final games, but settled to take eight marks and rack up 19 disposals.
Jordan Lewis – 6
Did his job well without starring after being one of the Hawks' best last week. Kicked an impossible goal from the boundary after the quarter-time siren to really hurt the Crows going into the break by opening up a 38-point lead. Kicked two goals, took nine marks and won four clearances before hurting a finger late in the game.
Six things we learned: Hawthorn v Adelaide
Ben McEvoy – 5
Sam Jacobs won the battle of the big men and the Crows claimed the clearances 44 to 32 but it clearly had little to do with the outcome, with the Hawks' pressure stifling their ball movement. Had 17 hit-outs while Jacobs had 41, with the Crows' ruckman also having more of the ball around the ground, but McEvoy provided a decent contest across the game.
Sam Mitchell – 8
After being one of their best last week, the veteran ball-winner continued a rich vein of form for 33 disposals and five inside 50s. Reliable, dependable, and his 12 disposals in the third quarter helped shatter any belief the Crows had of a comeback. Classy performance.
Paul Puopolo – 4
After being good last week, 'Poppy' was quiet when pitted against the in-form Rory Laird at times. Laid a strong tackle on Eddie Betts in the second quarter and kicked a quick goal to celebrate the start of the fourth but didn't have a hugely noticeable game.
It's not often you see Eddie Betts getting run down, but the Hawks aren't giving him an inch! #AFLFinals http://t.co/UUkYUgcxXo

Cyril Rioli – 4
Looked another of Laird's victims when he was kept goalless in the first half but still maintained a presence with three inside 50s and two scoring assists. Kicked his one and only goal in the third quarter and laid six tackles for the game but it was a quiet game from the little champ.
Jarryd Roughead – 5
Ended with two goals – both in the second half – after being edged out in a good battle with Daniel Talia. Had a quiet first half but his first goal came early in the third and broke any resolve the Crows had gathered at half-time. Went into the ruck when Hale was subbed off, which woke him up a bit, but only took four marks for the game.

Ryan Schoenmakers – 4
Came in for the injured Jack Gunston for his first game since round 21. Started in attack and had Kyle Hartigan as his main opponent, who he did OK against, but didn't set the world on fire. Kicked the Hawks' sixth goal in a row to open the second quarter after marking directly in front, but is likely to lose his spot to a fit Gunston next week.
Liam Shiels – 6
Capped off a neat game with a goal assist to Breust in the last quarter, after helping the Hawks drive the ball inside 50. Had 24 disposals and laid four tackles with eight inside 50s.
Isaac Smith – 7
An excellent return to form after being hampered by a knee injury last week. Moved 100 times better as he put the Crows to the sword with his outside run and carry. Kicked the Hawks' third goal to give them a 12-point lead, before a second early in the fourth. Ended with 21 disposals, with 19 uncontested possessions.
Ben Stratton – 7
Was terrific on Betts, who was one of the Crows' match winners last week. Got on top of the goal sneak early and made it hurt even more when he snuck forward for a shot at goal late in the first when Betts hadn't touched it. It was the first time in two years that Betts went scoreless, while Stratton had 13 disposals and took six marks.
Matthew Suckling – 5
Didn't have the cleanest game for his 100th but kicked a long goal in the first quarter – the Hawks' second – to help give them a jump-start. Had 19 disposals for 16 kicks but five of them were ineffective, although he did take nine marks.
