CARLTON fans will have to wait a little longer to see 2015's No.1 draft pick Jacob Weitering in action with the exciting prospect left out of the 26-man squad named to take on Hawthorn in Launceston on Thursday night.
As expected, recently reappointed Carlton captain Marc Murphy will also miss the NAB Challenge opener as he continues to recover from shoulder surgery he underwent in early December.
Harry McKay is the other Blue to have been left out after being named in the original group of 29 that travelled south to Tasmania.
For Hawthorn, Marc Pittonet, Lachlan Langford and Shem-Kalvin Tatupu will not play in Launceston as the club returns to its second home for the first time since premiership celebrations last October.
