NORTH Melbourne may be light on for elite NAB AFL Fantasy options in 2014, but there are bargains to be found in blue and white stripes.

Midfielder Jack Ziebell is the Kangaroos' most expensive player, at $513,100, after he averaged 94.7 points per game this year.

The 22-year-old's price ranks 42nd among all AFL players, highlighting the dearth of high-scoring options at his club.

2014 AFL price watch: Adelaide

Skipper Andrew Swallow ($512,000) is next at North Melbourne – but he won't be seen until mid-season as he recovers from a ruptured Achilles – and veteran Brent Harvey ($503,400) is third.

Big name recruit Nick Dal Santo had a down year by his standards in his final season at St Kilda, averaging 88.4 points.

He'll be priced at $479,200 at the start of 2014 and, with a change of environment, could provide Fantasy value as a midfielder.

Fellow recruit Robin Nahas should also be on your watch list over the pre-season.

The small forward struggled for senior opportunities at Richmond in 2013, his price dropping from $338,600 at the start of the season to $249,100 by the end.

He'll start next year even lower again – at the bargain basement price of $178,100 – and if he can win a senior spot with a strong summer, shapes as a potential cash cow.

Emerging half-back Aaron Mullett wasn't worthy of consideration as a midfielder in 2013, but he has been re-classified as a defender for next year.

Combine that with an expectation that the 21-year-old will continue to improve, and his starting price tag of $402,600 looks likely to climb.

Other Kangaroos to receive position changes include Lachlan Hansen (forward to defender), Sam Wright (defender to defender/forward) and Majak Daw (ruck to forward/ruck).

The club's top draft pick, father-son selection Luke McDonald, will start at the potentially prohibitive price of $243,900.

But his status as a dual position player (midfielder/defender) makes him more appealing, and his experience in the VFL this year should mean he adjusts to the top level more quickly than draftees coming straight out of under-18 football.
