GOLD Coast forward Josh Hall has switched codes, signing a two-year deal with rugby league's Penrith Panthers.
The Panthers made the announced on their website on Tuesday afternoon, bringing to an end Hall's four-year career at the Suns.
The 197cm Townsville product was a national high jump champion and in the frame to make the 2012 London Olympics before the Suns took him in the rookie draft.
Hall, 25, played seven games in his four seasons and kicked three goals.
Penrith executive general manager rugby league, Phil Gould, said he was impressed by Hall's personality and enthusiasm.
"He possesses great athletic ability, and if desire counts for anything, he has a bright future ahead of him," Gould said.
"Josh is well aware of the challenges he faces but a successful transition will no doubt inspire others to follow.
"It won’t be easy for Josh but we will do everything in our power to make his dream a reality."
Hall will join the Panthers for the start of pre-season training in November.
