Port Adelaide youngster Tom Jonas has also accepted his three-game ban for a high bump on St Kilda's Dylan Roberton.
The Cats agonised over whether to challenge the Match Review Panel's verdict at the tribunal, but they eventually decided that the risk of Bartel losing the case and then being hit with a two-game ban was too great.
Bartel's bump on Laird, which resulted in the young Crow being temporarily subbed out of the game while tested for concussion, was graded as negligent, medium impact and high contact.

The 2007 Brownlow medallist's decision to accept the penalty offered by the MRP means the Cats will yet again take to the field without one of their biggest names.
Last weekend they were forced to take on Adelaide without Steve Johnson after the mercurial midfielder was rubbed out for one match for kneeing Melbourne's Nathan Jones.
It was Johnson's third suspension this season.
Bartel has now copped his second ban in just over 12 months. He was outed for two matches for striking Gold Coast's Trent McKenzie in round 15 last year.
His Geelong teammate James Podsiadly has accepted a reprimand and 93.75 carryover points for a high bump on Adelaide's Richard Douglas.
Gold Coast defender Steven May has also accepted a reprimand and 93.75 carryover points for an off-the-ball bump he laid on Collingwood forward Travis Cloke.
