PATRICK Dangerfield will be in an Adelaide Crows uniform in 2015.

 

That is the stance of his manger Paul Connors, who has ruled out any possibility of the superstar midfielder being moved during the current NAB AFL Trade Period.

 

Dangerfield is off contract at the end of next season and has been linked with a number of clubs, most notably Melbourne, which could potentially offer picks two and three in the upcoming draft to secure his services.

 

But Connors poured cold water on that prospect on Tuesday.

 

"South Australians should be very comfortable knowing that (Dangerfield) will line up in the number 32 for the Crows next year," Connors told NAB AFL Trade Radio.

 

Meanwhile, Hawthorn midfielder Mitch Hallahan appears to be moving closer to the exit door as he fights for his place at the reigning premiers.

 

Hallahan was drafted back in 2010 and finally made his debut this season, playing six games between rounds five and 11.

 

But Connors says the powerfully built midfielder has likely fallen even further back in the Hawks' pecking order following the arrival of Jono O'Rourke from Greater Western Sydney.

 

Hallahan and Ryan Schoenmakers have both made clear their preference to remain in brown and gold, but Connors believes they may need to explore other options.

 

Gold Coast has already enquired about the possibility of recruiting the 22-year-old Hallahan, who shared the 2013 JJ Liston Trophy as the VFL's best and fairest player.

 

"I think he's in the same boat as Ryan Schoenmakers, in that he would love to stay at the Hawks and has expressed his desire to stay," Connors said.

 

"But I think with O'Rourke coming in … it's knowing Mitch expressed a desire to stay and it's just crowded (at the Hawks).

 

"You've got Mitch and Ryan desperate to stay, but maybe they might be getting taps on the shoulder to say look at some options."
