To deliver faster customer service in the main Lions Shop at Gabba Gate 2 (right beside the new Hyundai Centre) on match-days, five point-of-sale registers have now been brought online.

For the first time at the Club’s opening double header against West Coast then Carlton, the Lions Shop offered five registers instead of two - slashing queues and speeding up shopping during the peak trading periods that occur before the start of each game.

The store remains pretty busy on match-days but the customer line feeding the five registers only reached a maximum of ten people at its peak for Round One against the Eagles. This is a vast improvement on the previous experience from bygone seasons.

So any memories that Lions members and supporters have of congested shopping with growing customer queues can return knowing they have become just that - memories!

So we say hello or welcome back to a faster Lions Shop experience at Gabba Gate 2 - just outside the Hyundai Centre - this Saturday night for Round Four against the imposing Western Bulldogs. See you there!

PS: Rumour has it that one day these upgrades may even make shopping as fast as Todd Banfield…
