SYDNEY Swans star Adam Goodes is excited ahead of Saturday night's game against Geelong at Simonds Stadium.
Goodes, who was granted personal leave in the wake of the booing controversy, and missed last weekend's game against Adelaide, touched down with teammates in Melbourne on Friday afternoon.
"I'm feeling good. It's good to be back in Victoria and get down to Geelong and have some family and friends at the game," Goodes told reporters at Melbourne Airport.
"It'll be exciting to get back and play again."
Asked what kind of reception he was anticipating from the Cats fans, who have been urged to respect the dual Brownlow medallist, Goodes said he expected the best.
"Geelong are a fantastic football club. It's going to be a great challenge for the team and I've got no doubt they'll have 30,000 fans barracking hard for their team and that's all I can ask for," Goodes said.
The Swans will travel to Geelong by bus and arrive later this afternoon.
