Brodie Martin is set to play his first game since injuring a knee in round 17 last year when he lines up for Sturt reserves on Saturday.

Martin, who tore his anterior cruciate ligament in his second AFL game, has been training with the main group for a month and was cleared to play this week.

Trent Hentschel also is available after knee surgery and has gone straight back into the Eagles’ league side at full back for their game against North Adelaide at Prospect Oval.

Hentschel has not played since round three against Melbourne. Jarrhan Jacky has been named on the Eagles’ bench and rookie Luke Thompson will play across half-forward. For North, Matthew Wright will be hoping to continue his good form through the midfield.

Jack Gunston will play on a wing for Central District in its clash with Glenelg, which will be missing Sam Shaw (back). Brian Donnelly will play for Central District’s reserves.

Aidan Riley will be at half-back for Sturt against South, which has named Shaun McKernan at centre half back and Myke Cook on a wing.

West Adelaide has named Chris Schmidt in the centre for the game against Norwood.

Other players to be on SANFL duty will be clearer once the Crows finalise their 22 for Sunday’s game against Melbourne.
