COLLINGWOOD skipper Scott Pendlebury has laid claim to sit among the all-time Magpie greats after winning his fourth consecutive best and fairest on Friday night.
It is the 28-year-old's fifth Copeland Trophy, leaving him just one shy from matching coach Nathan Buckley, who won six best and fairests in his playing time with the Magpies.
Pendlebury earned 19 more votes than runner-up Adam Treloar, who had a brilliant season after crossing over from Greater Western Sydney's during last year's trade period.
It is the second consecutive season Treloar has finished runner-up in the club best and fairest.
Steele Sidebottom filled the podium, the third time he has finished top three in Collingwood's best and fairest.
Ruckman Brodie Grundy's improvement was recognised with a fourth placing after he played 21 games and established himself as the Magpies' number one ruck, while Jeremy Howe overcame a slow start to round out the top five following a strong season in defence.
Midfielder Taylor Adams missed eight games but finished sixth showing the quality of his play when he was fit, and reminded everyone why he was so missed during the season.
Rookie Josh Smith made his debut on Anzac day and was so consistent he finished seventh playing his role in defence to perfection.
Levi Greenwood, Jack Crisp and Jarryd Blair rounded out the top 10 with Greenwood and Crisp in just their second season at the Magpies, while Blair's hard tackling and consistency was rewarded.
The leading goalkicker was Alex Fasolo, who kicked 25 goals in 12 games. It was the lowest tally to win the award at Collingwood since Keith Bromage topped the table with 22 goals in 1954.
Smith won the Magpies' best first-year player and retiring premiership player Brent Macaffer was awarded best clubman.
The five members of the coaching panel can each award up to 22 votes per game and there is no minimum.
