DURING THE bye rounds a lot of NAB AFL Fantasy coaches are scrambling for some ‘heartbeats’ in their squads as they try to field as many players as possible. Looking ahead to the second half of the season, a few teams might need resuscitating in the run towards the Fantasy finals.
Launching in November, Fantasy Pulse regularly posed questions to the community with polls on some of the biggest selections dilemmas in the pre-season through to weekly issues over the first dozen rounds of the season.
As John Lennon and Paul McCartney penned back in 1967, possibly with AFL Fantasy in mind, we “get by with a little help from our friends”.
Enter version 2.0 of Fantasy Pulse.
In the latest update, Pulse has become far more interactive with coaches being able to ask their own questions, unique to their team, and have their ‘friends’ within the Fantasy community give their two cents.

Once clicking on the Pulse tab on the Fantasy website, coaches have the option to ask or answer questions. These range from who to start or bench quandaries which are thrown up in each line, through to who should be given the captain's armband to score double points.
For both of these options, you can choose up to four players and other punters can vote on the poll that is created.
If you’re unsure who to use your two trades on each week, get some advice by asking who you should buy or sell. Better still, you can put up a potential trade to be rated by your fellow coaches. Using a sliding scale from bad to good and see what others think of your trade plans.
Also using the sliding rating scale, feedback can be given on how your squad looks as a whole or you can even match your entire squad against any other in the competition.
A range of questions are submitted by coaches every day and there have already been well over 400 polls and over 28,000 answers!
Hopefully you can ‘rank high’ with a little help from your friends and as you find ‘somebody to love’ in your team on your way to winning a Fantasy premiership!
