DYLAN Buckley and Nick Graham will play on at Carlton in 2017 after signing one-year deals on Tuesday.
Buckley, 23, and Graham, 22, went through last month's NAB AFL Trade Period uncontracted, but the Blues have reaffirmed their faith in the pair as they finalise their 2017 list ahead of the final lodgement deadline on November 30.
Buckley played 11 games in 2016, including the Blues' last seven, after an extended mid-season stint in the VFL.
The son of 1970-80s great Jim Buckley played largely in attack last season after spending the majority of his previous four seasons at Ikon Park as a rebounding defender.
Buckley remains an exciting prospect with his speed and willingness to take the game on, and the Blues are hoping that after 39 senior games he is ready to become a consistent performer.
Graham played a career-high 12 games in 2016, averaging more than 18 possessions and nearly five tackles a match.
Dropped after round four last season, Graham then struggled for senior opportunities before returning for six of the Blues' last seven matches.
Pick No.54 in the 2012 NAB AFL Draft, the inside midfielder has played 28 games in four seasons with Carlton.
"Both Dylan and Nick have a strong work ethic and a continual desire to improve their game, which they've displayed since arriving at the club," Carlton's head of football Andrew McKay said.
"They're team players who are well respected around the club, and every time they run out in the navy blue jumper you know they're going to give their all.
"We're delighted they have re-signed and want to remain at the Blues as the club continues its journey in 2017."
