PORT Adelaide forward Angus Monfries has retired from the AFL after 211 games across 13 seasons.
The 30-year-old only made one appearance this year as he struggled to regain his best form after sitting out last season.
Monfries served a 12-month doping suspension in 2016 as part of the Essendon supplements saga.
He played 150 games for the Bombers from 2005-12 before spending his final five seasons with the Power.
"I have had a wonderful opportunity to be a part of two great football clubs," Monfries said.
"It’s been a privilege to be associated with some fantastic people in our sport and establish lifelong relationships that I’ll value forever.
"AFL has been a huge part of my life.
"While my time playing at the highest level has come to an end, I’m looking forward to making a valuable contribution to the industry in some way."
Power list manager Jason Cripps paid tribute to the legacy Monfries will leave at the club, especially on the younger players.
"Angus had an immediate positive influence on and off the field as soon as he arrived at the club," Cripps said.
"He enjoyed a career-best season in his first year with Port Adelaide and was a major part of our return to finals football in 2013 and 2014.
"He then showed great strength of character while having to sit out of football for a year in 2016."
Monfries is the Power's third confirmed list change for next year.
Defender Nathan Krakouer has also announced his retirement, while free agent Jackson Trengove has joined the Western Bulldogs on a three-year deal.
More changes are imminent, with small forward Jarman Impey in advanced talks with Hawthorn and midfielder Brendon Ah Chee keen to move to West Coast.
The Power are set to bring in former Brisbane Lions captain Tom Rockliff as a restricted free agent, while they remain in the mix for Melbourne utility Jack Watts and Geelong speedster Steven Motlop.
Forward Aaron Young and ruckman Matthew Lobbe could also be leaving the Power.
