In a new feature to collingwoodfc.com.au, “Footballers Lives” will take an in-depth look into what Magpie players are involved with outside of playing football.

Collingwood skipper Nick Maxwell has teamed up with Hawthorn premiership midfielder Brad Sewell in a new business tradeinmycar.com.au.

The online business was launched early last week with its aim to assist potential car buyers with selling or trading their car.

“It is a free service that takes the trouble out of buying and trading you car,” Maxwell told collingwoodfc.com.au on Wednesday.

“Simply put in the details of your car and the details of the car you wish to trade in for.  An email is then sent to the nearest dealership to where you live, who then contacts you directly. We will also email you an approximate value on your car to ensure you have a good idea of exactly what your car is worth!”

Maxwell has also added extra value for any Collingwood member who uses this service when buying a car.

“I am giving away one signed Collingwood jumper every fortnight for the next three months to a lucky Magpies member who buys a car through tradeinmycar.com.au.”

Simply email the details of your car purchase through tradeinmycar.com.au to Kristian@imagemarketing.com.au to be eligible for your singed Collingwood jumper.

Maxwell, who recently turned 26, believes that while playing football is his priority, it’s important to be involved with outside interests and business opportunities.

“Obviously a career playing footy doesn’t last forever and it’s important to have something set up after you have finished.  It also helps if you have an interest in areas outside the game.  It keeps you constantly mentally fresh and motivated.”
