HAWTHORN is down to two rotations going into the final quarter of Sunday's clash against Melbourne at the MCG, with small forwards Cyril Rioli and Paul Puopolo both injured.
Rioli was not sighted after half-time and reportedly copped a knock to his left knee that saw him spend a significant amount of times in the changerooms.
Football manager Graham Wright confirmed at three-quarter time the gun forward suffered a medial ligament injury.
Rioli suffered a PCL injury to the same knee in round eight last year and missed the remainder of the season.
Puopolo instantly grabbed his right hamstring after pulling up short while chasing a Melbourne opponent.
The small forward hobbled to the bench and was seen icing up on the bench.

Both players will take no further part in the contest.
James Frawley is not at 100 per cent after suffering from a migraine, but will continue to play on.
