The settlement has been welcomed by the AFL and the AFL Player's Association.
While Brendan will no longer be a Brisbane Lions player, the Club will provide financial support to assist Brendan with his health, presenting him with the opportunity to continue treatment for a number of personal issues.
The Brisbane Lions would like to wish Brendan well with his health and in any future endeavours.
The Club will not be making any further comment on this matter.
