ESSENDON rookie Trent Mynott has been handed a one-year contract extension.
The midfielder showed some solid signs at VFL this year after being selected in last year's NAB AFL Rookie Draft.
The Bombers were pleased with his development across the year and have rewarded the 19-year-old with another season at the club.
"We think we has a bright future ahead as an inside midfielder, hopefully he will make his debut to AFL next season," list manager Adrian Dodoro said.
"He has had a big off-season and we look forward to see what he can achieve in 2019."
Mynott will remain on the rookie list next year. A decision on the future of fellow rookie Ben McNiece, who is out of contract, has not yet been made.
