CAMERON Rayner will wear Jonathan Brown's famed No.16 guernsey for the Brisbane Lions next season.
Rayner, the No.1 pick at last month's NAB AFL Draft, takes over the guernsey from delisted midfielder Jarrad Jansen.
Brown won three premierships in the ‘16’ and kicked 594 goals across 256 games for the Lions.
The rest of the Lions' draft crop have also received their numbers, with academy graduate Connor Ballenden taking the No.38 vacated by departing free agent Tom Rockliff.
Rockliff, a former club captain, wore the guernsey 154 times for the Lions.
No.15 pick Zac Bailey will wear the No.33, previously worn by Brown's triple premiership teammate Darryl White, while forward Toby Wooller (34), midfielder Brandon Starcevich (37), and Jack Payne (40) were also assigned numbers.
Second-year wingman Jacob Allison moves from 37 to 19.
The draftee jumper numbers follow on from last month's news that recruits Luke Hodge would wear No.2 and Charlie Cameron No.23.
