FREMANTLE mature-age draftee Shane Yarran is facing a club-imposed ban after being charged by police for disorderly behaviour in public on Saturday night.
The 27-year-old was first issued with a move-on notice in Leederville but was charged a short time later after allegedly disobeying the police order.
In a statement on Sunday night, Fremantle said Yarran notified the club of the incident as soon as possible and met with club officials on Sunday morning.
The club added Yarran would now be required to undergo counselling.
The Dockers will make no further comment given the incident was now before the courts.
Yarran had earlier taken part in Fremantle affiliate Peel Thunder's WAFL clash against Swan Districts, where he was reported for striking Swans veteran Matt Riggio in the second quarter.
The Dockers-listed forward ended the game with 14 disposals in what was his second game back from a calf injury.
Speaking after his side's 48-point loss to Collingwood on Friday night, Dockers coach Ross Lyon said Yarran was nearing an AFL debut after overcoming his recent injury.
"Yarran's starting to build so hopefully in two or three weeks (he will be fully fit)," Lyon said.
"He'll play tomorrow [Saturday], we can have a good look at him."
Yarran was recruited by Fremantle with pick No.61 in last year's NAB AFL Draft after claiming the WAFL's goalkicking award with 54 majors playing for Subiaco.
