Sydney Swans co-captain Kieren Jack has moved to within striking distance of Gold Coast counterpart Gary Ablett at the head of the leaderboard in the AFLPA Champion Player award after earning a perfect 10 for his performance in his side's win over Richmond.
It's the third time in the past four games that Jack has received at least eight votes.
Geelong skipper Joel Selwood (seven votes against North Melbourne) has leapt to fourth after amassing at least seven votes in each of his past four games, Western Bulldogs star Ryan Griffen (one votes versus West Coast) is now outright sixth, while Fremantle gun Nathan Fyfe (10 against Adelaide) is equal seventh.
As expected, Hawthorn superstar Lance Franklin was deemed best afield in the Hawks' big win over Essendon, while Carlton ruckman Matt Kreuzer continued to hit back at his critics with nine votes against Gold Coast.
Ablett gathered 32 possessions and kicked a goal against the Blues but his opponent Ed Curnow (22 touches) received two votes for limiting the champion's effectiveness.
