CALLUM Sinclair has vowed to bounce back from a knee injury that ruined the end of 2016 with a big pre-season.
The Sydney Swans recruit had a reasonable first season with the club after crossing over from West Coast during last year's trade period.
He played the first 16 games before being injured, with an operation required in July to remove some floating cartilage from his right knee.
Fellow ruckman Sam Naismith stepped up in his absence and was a good performer for the Swans in the Grand Final.
Sinclair told sydneyswans.com.au he was confident of being ready to start pre-season on day one.
"The rehab guys have been really good and they have got me in a position where I will be able to do a full pre-season," Sinclair said.
"The knee and the rest of the body is feeling really strong. so in that regard it is a positive."
The Swans traded out Toby Nankervis to Richmond during this year's NAB AFL Trade Period, so Sinclair will be vying for the ruck position against Naismith and Kurt Tippett, who also struggled with injury in the back half of the season.
The 27-year-old played for the Eagles in the 2015 AFL Grand Final and has played 45 AFL games.
