AFL EGM Clubs, Finance and Broadcasting Travis Auld said he was looking forward to the biggest match of the season after an amazing Finals Series.

"The Geelong Cats and the Sydney Swans are deserving grand finalists. Making it through to a Grand Final is a great achievement and one I’m sure the clubs and their supporters are very proud of," Mr Auld said.

"We have experienced an extraordinary Finals Series. I want to thank every fan who showed up and supported their team, the clubs, players, coaches, staff and families, our umpires, the broadcast and commercial partners and the venues for making this season one to remember.

"To see 100,000 fans return to the MCG on the last Saturday in September after two years of Grand Finals outside of Victoria is something the AFL and the wider football loving community is very much looking forward to.

"I wish the Geelong Cats and the Sydney Swans the very best for the 2022 Toyota AFL Grand Final and congratulate them on earning their place in history," Mr Auld said.

The 2022 Toyota AFL Grand Final will be broadcast live nationally on the Seven Network.
