Victoria Metro and Victoria Country will clash for the 2022 NAB AFL National Championships U18 Boys title at Marvel Stadium on Thursday September 22 from 12:35pm.
The match will be broadcast live on Fox Footy and streamed at AFL.com.au. Entry to the match is free, with Gate 5 to open at 12:00pm.
Both sides are undefeated heading into the final match of the Championships, with the winner of Thursday’s game to take out this year’s title, which will be the first awarded since 2019.
The match will feature a host of the top prospects ahead of the 2022 NAB AFL Draft.
Will Ashcroft, Elijah Tsatas, Harry Sheezel, Matthew Jefferson and Alwyn Davey Jr all feature in Victoria Metro’s squad, while Aaron Cadman, Jhye Clark, Bailey Humphrey, Henry Hustwaite and Oliver Hollands headline Victoria Country’s squad.
The full squads for the match are listed below. Final teams for the match will be announced on Wednesday.

The Larke Medal will be awarded to the Best and Fairest player of the Championships following Thursday’s game. Previous winners include Christian Petracca, Tom Hawkins and Sam Walsh.
The Larke Medal will be selected by a panel comprising Kevin Sheehan (AFL Talent Ambassador – Chairman), Tarkyn Lockyer (AFL National Academy Coach/Manager) and AFL club recruiters Scott Clayton (North Melbourne), Mark McKenzie (Hawthorn), Kelly O’Donnell (Melbourne) and Geoff Parker (Port Adelaide).
The panel will also select the 2022 NAB AFL National Championships U18 Boys All-Australian team.
The NAB AFL National Championships are the highest level of state and territory representative football, as part of the AFL’s Talent Pathway Program. The competition features the most talented boys from across Australia who are the next generation of stars in the men’s game.
