ESSENDON fitness boss Dean Robinson has been stood down pending the ASADA-AFL investigation into alleged use of banned supplements at the Bombers.
The high-profile Robinson, nicknamed 'The Weapon,' has been the centre of attention since the Dons suffered a spate of soft tissue injuries in 2012.
The high performance guru rose to prominence after playing a key role in Geelong's successful 2007 campaign.
Lured to Windy Hill, he embarked on fitness regime described by many Bombers as the most 'brutal' of their careers.
Robinson's aim to add muscle to the Essendon list backfired when the Bombers suffered many soft-tissue injuries throughout the season.
It's believed Robinson's role has been somewhat diminished during this pre-season.
