Information on Grand Final ticket sales to be held on Tuesday 25 September for Priority 3 supporters.
The Port Adelaide Football Club has mailed its Priority 3 supporters – season ticket holders and AAMI Stadium members without an anchor or club membership – details on their opportunity to buy a 2007 AFL Grand Final ticket (if Port Adelaide is a competing club).Priority 3 supporters will receive a Grand Final barcode number in their letter which is essential to booking a Grand Final ticket. Letters will begin arriving on Wednesday 19 September.Priorities 1 and 2 had the opportunity to pre book a Grand Final ticket on Tuesday 18 September although if they did not take this opportunity and therefore have an unused Grand Final barcode number it will be valid along with the Priority 3 barcode numbers and can be used as detailed below.Should Port Adelaide win their Preliminary Final, bookings open for the Priority 3 Group at 8am (EST) on Tuesday 25th September until the full allocation is sold out. The number of tickets available to Port Adelaide supporters has yet to be determined.Grand Final tickets will be sold to eligible members subject to availability on a “next best available” basis from the highest to the lowest priced ticket – including restricted view seating and standing room tickets.The 2007 Toyota AFL Grand Final, to be held on Saturday 29th September, is a “declared event” under the provisions of the Sports Event Ticketing (Fair Access) Act (Vic) 2002 and ticket sales must comply under the approved AFL Grand Final Ticket Scheme.Bookings must be made by telephone with the Grand Final barcode number/s provided in your letter, using a credit card and must be collected by the credit card holder – no tickets will be posted. One Grand Final ticket per barcode may be purchased.Tickets can be collected from any Ticketmaster outlet during Grand Final week or from Gate 3 at the MCG on Grand Final day. To avoid queues at the two Adelaide outlets (Rebel Sport City and Rebel Sport Westfield Marion) it is recommended that members collect from a Victorian outlet when arriving in Melbourne.
