TRIPLE premiership player Alastair Lynch headlines the five-person panel that will decide this year's Norm Smith Medal.
MATCH PREVIEW Tigers v Giants
Lynch – who played a pivotal role in Brisbane's hat-trick of flags from 2001-03 – is the chairman of the panel that will select the best on ground in the Grand Final between Richmond and Greater Western Sydney at the MCG on Saturday.
Lynch's former Lions teammate Chris Johnson, Essendon great Matthew Lloyd, long-time Channel Seven broadcaster Bruce McAvaney and Angela Pippos from the ABC round out the panel.

The Norm Smith Medal cannot be shared between two players.
If there is a tie, the player with the most number of "three votes" received will be declared the winner.
If that cannot deliver a result, the medal will be awarded to the player with the most number of "two votes".
The final tiebreaker is then delivered by the chairman, with Lynch given the responsibility of selecting the winner.
Tigers superstar Dustin Martin is the $6.50 favourite with BetEasy to win his second Norm Smith Medal after collecting best on ground honours in the 2017 decider against Adelaide.
All-Australian defender Bachar Houli ($9), Tigers midfielder Dion Prestia ($10) and Giants enforcer Toby Greene ($10) are also considered strong chances by the bookmakers.
