FREMANTLE is sweating on scan results after reigning club champion Bradley Hill suffered a suspected quad injury at training on Wednesday.

Hill failed to complete the session and there are question marks over his availability for the round one trip to face Port Adelaide.

"Once we get the result of the scans we will be better placed to determine the extent of the injury and whether or not that impacts Bradley’s availability for selection for round one," general manager of football operations Chris Bond said.

The injury appears certain to rule Hill out of the Dockers' final JLT Community Series clash against West Coast this Sunday.

The 24-year-old was hoping to build some momentum in the last hit-out of the pre-season after picking up just six touches against Adelaide on February 25.

"Last week I was pretty sloppy, but we'll fix that up this week hopefully, and I'm feeling 100 per cent," Hill told AFL.com.au on Tuesday.

"I want as many minutes as I can before round one to get the confidence up."

Hill's older brother Stephen has already been ruled out of the upcoming contest with the Eagles as he battles a calf issue, with growing doubts about his availability for the season-opener.

The Dockers haven't placed a timeframe on Stephen Hill or Harley Bennell's (calf) return to football.

Big man Michael Apeness (adductor) is out of action for two weeks, while tall backman Griffin Logue will miss this weekend's match due to a foot issue.
