AFL EGM Customer and Commercial Kylie Rogers said the momentum was building as the league continues to build out the rounds program of events.
"The excitement for Gather Round continues to build momentum and reaching 100,000 ticket sales prior to Christmas is testament to the fans appetite to get around the footy in SA." Ms Rogers said.
"The fixture is locked, preparation at our regional venues is coming together, and we continue to work with Premier Malinauskas and his team on building out the free events for fans to compliment the round of matches and bring the city to life.
"It is an unbelievable opportunity for our competition and our clubs, our players and coaches are excited to come together and put on a great show for everyone."
Tickets for all matches at the Adelaide Oval and Norwood Oval are still available for Club & AFL Members and the general public via Ticketek.
