Morris partially tore the ACL on his right knee at the start of 2018, making a miraculous recovery to return in round 11 to finish the season with 11 games under his belt.
It followed his heroics in the 2016 season, where he played the entirety of the finals series with a broken back to help inspire the club to break its premiership drought.
The Bulldogs are yet to decide how they will progress with Morris' recovery from his most recent setback, with the club saying it will confirm a plan of action "in the coming days".
Morris has played 252 games for the Bulldogs across a glittering 14-year career.
