BRISBANE Lions leaders Tom Rockliff and Dayne Zorko have denied there is a rift between the pair.
Rockliff told the club's website that he and Zorko were "close mates" following reports on The Footy Show claiming they were feuding.
Rockliff, the Lions' captain, said it was laughable.
"Leppa (coach Justin Leppitsch) tells us that it's the tough times that are the making of footy clubs," Rockliff said.
"I totally agree with that, and despite a lot of the rumours that fly around at this time of the year, be assured that we are a tight group with a common goal."
Zorko, the club's vice-captain, said the claims were "well and truly off the mark"
"'Rocky' goes about things really well as captain of this footy club," Zorko said.
"You could see from the reaction from a heap of the boys across social media last night how much of a laugh it was to suggest that we are angry or fighting with each other."
