MANY of the star performers throughout the season stepped up under the pressure of preliminary final round and pumped out huge scores, hopefully resulting in your team going through to the big dance.
Fantasy Pig
Brodie Grundy is already in serious consideration to be officially snouted and he did himself no harm on the weekend with a round-high 147 from 42 hit-outs, 25 touches, two marks and nine tackles. He has been a consistent monster all season after finally being given the full-time ruck role, averaging 120 for the season and at his age, I can’t see any reason why he won’t continue to dominate for years to come.
Honourable mention: Luke Parker has been a disappointment for his coaches this year. Selected by many with the thought the Swans star would return to his 110 ways, only to average well below, going at 96. Having said that, he repaid the faith for anyone who held him for the prelim this week, collecting 33 touches, taking seven marks, laying five tackles and kicking two goals for 143. Now that is the Parks we know and love… in fact he could be up to 15 points under-priced next year.
FROM THE TWOS Who put their hand up in the second tier?
Rage trades
Alex Witherden found his way into many teams this week on the back of some sensational form and a dream match-up against the Suns, who he had already scored 123 on earlier this year. He got off to a nice start with four kicks and a mark early in the game for 15 points before doing his hamstring, ruling him out after just 11 per cent game time. The salt in the wound is that many people got him in as a luxury trade, saying goodbye to the out-of-form Kade Simpson, who pumped out a lazy 128.
Honourable mention: Dayne Zorko has been another popular target during the finals series but unfortunately, he ran into his old mate Touk Touk again and it didn’t end well for his coaches. In a tell-tale sign of being well tagged, he was held to zero marks but thankfully he salvaged a score of 74 after an impressive nine tackles.

Piglet
Conor Nash put on some kind of show for the Hawks and his scoring reflected the unconventional contribution. He collected 16 possessions, took six marks and laid seven tackles while also hitting the scoreboard for an entertaining goal on his way to 99. Not bad for $175,000.

Amazing, isn’t it? For those who don’t know … last year's winner Selby took the lead this week heading into the final round. Someone needs a new double garage. GOAT.
